The Prideaux Centre for Research in Health Professions Education was officially launched on Friday 22 May. The event attracted interest from both professional and academic staff across the University, and was well attended by members of other Adelaide-based Universities as well as industry collaborators and partners. International scholars were also involved in the Launch, via recorded video messages.
The Launch showcased the diverse interests of those involved in the Prideaux Centre in the form of research presentations and a poster presentation session. A highlight of the event was the Keynote Address by Emeritus Professor David Prideaux, after whom the Centre was named.
With the Prideaux Centre’s already impressive publication record (42 publications since its establishment in February 2014), the Centre is perfectly positioned to become one of the leading research centres in the world.
Not only is the Prideaux Centre committed to building the capacity of its membership by offering mentoring support and regular Research Forum activities, it also provides supervision for Research Higher Degree students from around the globe.
