Hot hot heat!

Cleland Wildlife Park

I’ve been in Adelaide for a little over a week and a half now. Initially before I came, I was afraid that I wouldn’t make any friends and that I would be alone. When I arrived, someone was there at the airport to greet me and take me to my unit in the Village, they even took me grocery shopping. The ISSU have set up a few events that I’ve attended like going to the Cleland Wildlife Park where I got to feed kangaroos! I just finished O-Week, they had a lot of cool parties where I got to meet other international students and even other Australians. I’ve learnt how different it is in comparison to Canada even though we’re both English speaking countries. It’s still a struggle trying to figure out the bus routes and which one goes where but I think eventually I’ll get the hang of it. Classes are starting so I’m not sure what to expect yet but I’m quite excited. I’m still adjusting to the weather since it has been in the 20’s and 30’s where I’m used to -10’s and -15’s, but I guess it’s safe to say at the moment that I’m absolutely in love with Adelaide and the people who I’ve met along the way.
