My first few weeks in Australia

My name is Kristen, and I’m studying at Flinders University for a semester. I have only been here for a few weeks so far but have already made great friends and have had so much fun! I’ve met people from Mexico, Germany, Iran, the Netherlands, Australia (of course) and even some from different parts of the United States, my home country. One of my favorite trips with my friends is when we went to Brighton Beach for the day, and walked in the water (which was freezing) and had some of the best ice cream I’ve had since being here. I just recently had my first week of classes, and I can tell that I’m going to love them. The two Nutrition courses I’m in are going to teach me a lot of information, and I can’t wait to dive into the topics. It is interesting to have classes taught using units such as kilograms, and kilo joules, instead of pounds and calories. It’s gonna take some time to get used to the conversions but once I do it’ll be easier to understand the lectures.
