Starting my new campus life in Australia

Hello, I’m Yu, from Japan. It has been already one month since I came to here. At the first day, very very strong sunlight welcome me at an airport. Then I realized I finally arrived in Australia. The university staff waited for me at the airport. She picked me up, and took me to shopping. It was a really convenient system, I did not know way to the university, did not havea  transportation card, and honestly I did not feel like bringing heavy groceries by bus ;p

First week (O’week) was quite busy week. I bought many stuffs, and prepared for classes. There were many exciting events at this week. I joined one day trip, we went to Cleland Wildlife Park and Hahndorf. It was awesome. I met kangaroo, koala, and many cute animals. I also got to know many international students.

The campus and students are really nice, too. There are many study spaces, especially I like the library; they have a quiet study space and SLC (Student Learning Centre). They always help me. Students are friendly and kind. Even though I don’t speak English well, my friends try to listen to me all the time.

My campus life has just started, it was great starting. I will STUDY HARD and PLAY HARD at this University.

Thank you.
