When I first arrived at Flinders, fresh from high school and full of excitement, I had no idea just how my journey would be like. Now, reflecting on my time here, I am filled with gratitude for the lessons learned, the friendships made, and the adventures made.

Living independently in Australia has a great learning experience. Moving halfway across the world taught me invaluable lessons and life skills beyond academic knowledge. I learned how to cook meals for myself, keep my living spaces clean, and manage my time effectively. These tasks were the stepping stones to adulthood and self-reliance.

Continuing on, I discovered that I love to explore new places and culture. Traveling around Australia from Adelaide to Sydney and Melbourne, and immersing myself in different cultures. This experience has also honed my communication skills, as I learn how to form connections with peers.

I would recommend studying at Flinders, not only does Flinders stand out for its academic excellence but for its vibrant and supportive community. When I came onto campus, the staff and faculty have made my experience smooth less and enjoyable. Professors are approachable and flexible, ensuring that the coursework is engaging and manageable. I love the many activities organized by ISS, these events provided wonderful opportunities to meet other international students and build lasting friendships. The sense of community at Flinders is strong, making it easier for students like me to thrive academically and socially.

To future students thinking about studying at Flinders, my advice is to take every opportunity presented to you. Make full use of the resources available, whether its academic support or counselling services. Also participating in events and activities are not only fun but you can form meaningful connections. Some of my closest friends are people I met at organized events. Lastly, embrace adventure, studying at Flinders is not just earning a degree, but also growing as an individual, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
