\u00a0Being apart from loved ones has been the most difficult part of this trip, but with Alexandra here now, life in OZ has gone from good to great!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1100\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/student-exchange-experiences\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2014\/05\/g1glaDPFE-lcdVpBIEP7NaXB16QhF6rc1R90a30cNi8-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/student-exchange-experiences\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2014\/05\/g1glaDPFE-lcdVpBIEP7NaXB16QhF6rc1R90a30cNi8-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/student-exchange-experiences\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2014\/05\/g1glaDPFE-lcdVpBIEP7NaXB16QhF6rc1R90a30cNi8.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The first weekend, we hit up Glenelg beach for some sun and ice cream then just took a lazy Sunday afternoon in sweatpants to catch up on way too many TV shows and movies. \u00a0We got a good scare later that day when we thought we had a 6 foot snake lurking under our driveway. \u00a0Thankfully, our landlord confirmed it was just a blue tongued lizard&#8230; Nothing poisonous!<\/p>\n<p>The following weekend, we went with friends of ours to check out the old German settlement Hahndorf. \u00a0Though it was rainy that day, the town was beautiful and the schnitzel was awesome. \u00a0With the weather getting cooler, we thought it appropriate to start thinking about a vacation! \u00a0There are so many great deals on Groupon, so we had no excuse to\u00a0<em>not<\/em> book a trip. \u00a0We ended up booking a seven night stay in Ubud, Bali at an amazing resort in the hills for only $320 AUD for the both of us!
