Brianna is a Flinders Student who went on an\u00a0exchange program in S2 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hey! I\u2019m Bri and I studied in Maastricht, Netherlands through the Flinders Global Experience program in 2025. The highlight of my semester exchange was the incredible friends I made from all over the world who I got to explore Europe with. Everyday felt like a new \u2018core memory\u2019 just because of the excitement every fresh day has in store. I fully believe that studying abroad is the perfect chance to see what the world has to offer for better understanding yourself and creating doorways for your future. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

How did living and studying in the Netherlands change the way you see yourself or your career?<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The experience of living independently across the globe from what is familiar, trying new things, and establishing new connections has changed the way I view both myself and the world.\u00a0Apart from improving my time and money management skills,\u00a0I\u00a0feel I have grown into myself\u00a0as a person\u00a0more and\u00a0am very\u00a0proud\u00a0of\u00a0who\u00a0I have become.\u00a0I got familiar with the unease of stepping out of my comfort zone, as well as the feeling of achievement afterwards.\u00a0I\u00a0learnt\u00a0the importance of\u00a0creating and\u00a0maintaining\u00a0social\u00a0relationships,\u00a0which was essential for my experience to be\u00a0fulfilling rather than lonely.\u00a0I have become a very spontaneous person, eagerly taking any opportunity for a new experience or adventure.\u00a0The opportunity to be surrounded by\u00a0people from\u00a0various\u00a0countries has enabled me to\u00a0learn about their beautiful cultures\u00a0and even travel to experience them firsthand.\u00a0I\u00a0feel unbelievably inspired\u00a0as a result of\u00a0my exchange,\u00a0mostly from\u00a0the\u00a0international\u00a0friends that have introduced me to different ways of existing, perceiving, and enjoying life.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

All my life\u00a0I had\u00a0wanted to\u00a0travel yet\u00a0had\u00a0never\u00a0imagined my future\u00a0or\u00a0career\u00a0outside of Adelaide. My exchange has made me aware of the extensive opportunities available all around the\u00a0world and\u00a0has shown me that these lifestyles,\u00a0previously only dreamt\u00a0of,\u00a0are\u00a0far\u00a0more achievable than I thought.\u00a0I no longer feel limited to Adelaide, or even Australia, and\u00a0now have a strong motivation to experience\u00a0what else\u00a0the world has to offer<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n
