Free Introduction to Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction

MBSR

Jennifer Burke from Adelaide Psychology & Co is running a “relaxed 1 hour introduction to mindfulness-based skills and tools that will help you to cope with life’s challenges, reduce your stress, and improve your quality of life“.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) was developed by this fellow in the 70’s. It was designed to help individuals with difficult to treat health conditions adapt better to their illness. It has been the subject of a considerable amount of research over the past 20 years, which shows it can help reduce anxiety and depression.

Whilst MBSR has its origins in Eastern religious and spiritual teachings, the program itself is secular.

Jennifer is running these sessions monthly for the whole of 2018, so if you don’t get into the first one, you can attend later in the year.
