OASIS Flinders University Chaplaincy Team

Chaplaincy Team

Dave from the Chaplaincy team at OASIS kindly prepared a post about their people and the work they do.

Chaplains are available at Oasis, Flinders University to support and encourage the religious and spiritual needs of students and staff. We understand spirituality to be one important aspect of our overall health and wellbeing, alongside our physical, social, and psychological needs.

Oasis has a long history in providing care and support for students and staff through chaplaincy at Flinders. Our chaplaincy team appreciates that university life is often fast paced and ever changing, so we’re available to journey with you through the highs and lows experienced both at Flinders and in personal life. Flinders’ Chaplaincy has had a long history of multifaith representation and we value this as core to who we are. We also work closely with the Health and Counseling team.

The team is committed to mutual respect and understanding across our diverse religious and cultural backgrounds – and value our diversity as one of the great strengths of Oasis. We have many friends across Adelaide from different traditions, so even if a particular faith or religious background isn’t represented by the team, drop by and we’ll do our best to support, refer and network you in the right direction.
