Footpath works – implications for students with disability

Mayanthi, one of the Disability Advisors sent this through to me. Of particular note for students with disability. This is a cut and paste of an email from Property, Facilities and Development, who manage all the various construction works around the university.

Footpath works

We are undertaking a suite of footpath refurbishment projects around Bedford Park, Sturt and Flinders Living to repair damaged and worn out pathways. The works have been scheduled to keep the impacts on staff, students and visitors to an absolute minimum. Where works are being undertaken adjacent to roadways traffic management teams will be in place.

Please be aware there will be some noise and pedestrian diversions associated with these works. Please follow all directional signage in place and where possible, avoid these areas while works are underway. The program of works and a map showing the footpath locations is provided for your information below.

Thank you for your patience as we undertake these essential repair works to improve Flinders. If you have any queries or need more information, please contact Craig Hackney on 8201 9914.
