Reading for Wellbeing Event in the Library – City and Bedford!

Natasha from the Library just piqued my interest with Reading for Wellbeing events they are holding on the 4th and 5th of September across the City and Bedford Park libraries. I’m adding this to my own wellbeing calendar. You should too.

Wellbeing event in the library

The library are hosting a wellbeing event that centres around leisure reading and all students and staff are invited.

Reading for leisure has shown to be an effective way at reducing stress and has benefits for mental health.

Even if you don’t consider yourself a ‘reader’, it can be beneficial to pick up a book and take a break from screen time.

At the event, there will be catering provided and an author talk with fiction author and lecturer in creative writing, Amy T. Matthews.

There will be a range of new popular fiction and non-fiction books that you can browse from to borrow too, and there are no due dates on these books so you can take as long as you need.
