Medibank run some great health and wellbeing sessions for students and staff. There is one coming up on the 11th September, exploring mental health and wellbeing with psychologist Dr Sarah Barker.
Leading up to R U OK? Day, join clinical psychologist Dr. Sarah Barker as she talks to the prevalence of mental illness in the community and what kind of help is available inside and outside of the workplace. Furthermore, Sarah will cover five core concepts of wellbeing and discuss how these can be translated into your daily life.
About the presenter
Dr Sarah Barker has expertise in anxiety, mood, ADHD, and trauma, honed through her work as a clinical psychologist, clinical consultant, and subject expert with Black Dog Institute and Phoenix Australia. Dr Barker is an AHPRA-Board Approved Clinical Supervisor, AHPRA-registered Clinical Psychologist, Australian Psychological Society member, and she moderates the National Black Dog Institute Mental Health Community of Practice, taking a key role in facilitating evidence-based, best clinical practice. She is a workplace mental health expert, with 10 years of experience developed from strong links to workplaces throughout Australia and New Zealand, talking to issues of corporate and organisational responsibilities.
