Flinders University has officially endorsed the 2024–2027 Disability Action Plan, outlining key priorities to remove barriers and promote equitable participation for people with disability, with a long-term vision for continued progress in disability inclusion.
After extensive consultation with staff and students, the 2024–2027 Disability Action Plan (DAP) is now finalised and officially endorsed. This DAP serves as a foundational framework, highlighting four key priority areas aimed at addressing and removing barriers to equitable participation for people with disability. These priorities were carefully selected to ensure that our initiatives are purposeful, effective, and responsive to the varied needs of our community.
Looking ahead, future iterations of the DAP will transition to a longer-term plan, expanding our efforts to promote disability inclusion and drive ongoing progress and impact.
The DAP, along with the Flinders University Disability Policy, outlines the University’s commitments under Part 3 of the Commonwealth Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) 1992. The plan has been lodged with the Australian Human Rights Commission and is accessible via the Accessibility and Inclusion webpage.
