It takes a village to raise a child and a team to run BetterU (i’m not really sure of the child reference).
Because I manage the BetterU website and spend most of my time behind a computer, I sometimes fall into the trap of thinking I am BetterU (with maybe a healthy dose of narcissism in there!).
But riding the elevator at City Campus the other day and seeing the BetterU branding for Wellbeing Week reminded me of the truth: Iβm just one part of an excellent team.
Leading the on-the-ground BetterU presence are Jamie and Magnolia – names many of you will know from Oasis – supported by our Wellbeing Ambassadors, students who give their time and energy to the wellbeing cause. Whenever you see BetterU in person such as a stall for Orientation, Wellbeing Week, R U OK? Day, or any other event, that is their collective work.
And if youβre at one of our rural locations, itβs local volunteers who step up to make sure BetterU (and R U OK? Day) has a presence where you are supported by Jamie and Magnolia who send them promotional materials.
So this is a big shoutout to the extended BetterU crew. If you see them, please stop by, say hello, and know that itβs their work bringing BetterU into the heart of our campuses. A mighty fine team indeed. π
