Free food and essentials through the new FUSA Pantry

Cost of living pressures show no obvious sign of abating. Thankfully, food access options for Flinders students are increasing. FUSA has your back (and your pantry as well).

FUSA has launched a new Food Pantry to help students experiencing financial pressure access free food and personal care essentials.

No appointment is needed. Simply visit a participating campus library on Tuesdays during term time, from 10.30am to 1.30pm, and take the items that are useful to you.

Pantry cupboards are located near the library information desk at:

  • Sturt Library — Level 3
  • Tonsley Library — Ground floor
  • Gus Fraenkel Medical Library — FMC, Level 5
  • City Campus Library — Level 4

Available items will vary, but may include long-life milk, rice, pasta, noodles, canned foods, cereal, sauces, toiletries and personal hygiene products.

To help keep the pantry available to as many students as possible, please take what you need and leave what you can for others.

Don’t forget the Flinders Community Market

Students at Bedford Park can also visit the Flinders Community Market at the Oasis Student Wellbeing Centre. Held on Thursdays during semester from 11am to 1pm, the market offers free fruit, vegetables and bread, alongside low-cost pantry items. No registration or booking is required, just bring a bag.

Students needing further assistance can also contact FUSA about emergency financial assistance, loans and financial counselling, or explore the University’s support directory.
