It is built on the principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve written a fair bit about it on the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/student-health-and-well-being\/?s=studyology\">blog<\/a>. You can read more about the history of Studyology <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/student-health-and-well-being\/2020\/04\/27\/studyology\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I just finished delivering the course online to a small pilot group (a big shout out to that group as well!).<\/p>\n<p>I recorded all the sessions and posted them, along with the supplementary materials on <a href=\"https:\/\/flo.flinders.edu.au\/course\/view.php?id=63157\">Oasis Online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>There are 5 sessions in total, each about 1 hour. Slides, as well as homework exercises and audio files are provided.<\/p>\n<p>The breakdown of the sessions is as follows:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">Session 1 &#8211; Psychological flexibility and the art of being present<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">Session 2 &#8211; Experiential avoidance and the mechanics of procrastination<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">Session 3 &#8211; Defusion, acceptance, grounding and arousal reduction<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">Session 4 &#8211; Values &#8211; what drives you to study?<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">Session 5 &#8211; Recap and understanding avoidance and how it is countered<\/p>\n<p>By the end of the course, you will have a good working knowledge of the basics of ACT and how it is applied to understanding and tackling your procrastination behaviour.<\/p>\n<p>We have every intention of running live sessions again, but in the meantime, feel free to access these materials in your own time.<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll also find a bunch of other wellbeing and productivity related stuff on <a href=\"https:\/\/flo.flinders.edu.au\/course\/view.php?id=63157\">Oasis Online<\/a>, so have a look around whilst you are there.<\/p>\n<p>Oh, and if you are wondering why it is called V3, it is because Studyology has existed in a couple of forms over its 3-year history \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Studyology is a course developed by myself and Ben Smith that teaches you some psychological strategies for tackling procrastination.
