Hope to see you at one of the events.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p data-start=\"351\" data-end=\"486\">At Flinders, you might notice that we don\u2019t just have Orientation Week, we also have <strong data-start=\"435\" data-end=\"485\">Connect Week, Success Week, and Wellbeing Week<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"488\" data-end=\"580\">That\u2019s because starting uni (and staying on track) isn\u2019t something that happens in one week.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"582\" data-end=\"783\">These themed weeks are really extensions of orientation, spreading out the advice, experiences, and opportunities that help you settle in, build skills, and look after yourself across the semester. They arose because Orientation week got so packed that I think we frightened students more than welcomed them (our bad!).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"785\" data-end=\"827\">In the rotation of themed weeks, <a href=\"https:\/\/students.flinders.edu.au\/uni-life\/wellbeingweek\">Wellbeing Week<\/a> is last but not least.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"785\" data-end=\"827\">And it is coming up from the 4th to 8th May.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"927\" data-end=\"1004\">This semester\u2019s focus is on something many students (and staff to be honest) know well: <strong data-start=\"990\" data-end=\"1003\">overwhelm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1006\" data-end=\"1237\">Between assignments, deadlines, and everything else going on in life and the world, it\u2019s easy to feel like things are piling up. <a href=\"https:\/\/students.flinders.edu.au\/uni-life\/wellbeingweek\">Wellbeing Week<\/a> is your chance to step back, reset, and pick up a few practical strategies to help you manage it.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1239\" data-end=\"1371\">Across the week, there are plenty of ways to get involved, whether you want something practical, social, or just a moment to breathe.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1373\" data-end=\"1383\">You might:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1384\" data-end=\"1773\">\n<li data-section-id=\"1obpev5\" data-start=\"1384\" data-end=\"1448\">\ud83e\udde0 Join a session on managing overwhelm and staying on track (oh yeah, I might be<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/student-health-and-well-being\/2026\/04\/21\/managing-overwhelm-be-productive-and-well-wellbeing-week-session\/\"> running that<\/a> \ud83d\ude0a)<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"bgcqm3\" data-start=\"1449\" data-end=\"1504\">\ud83d\udcac Drop in for 1:1 support with a Wellbeing Advisor<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"depxgn\" data-start=\"1505\" data-end=\"1557\">\ud83e\uddd8 Try meditation, yoga, or mindfulness sessions<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"rifkn\" data-start=\"1558\" data-end=\"1605\">\ud83c\udfa8 Get creative with mindful art or collage<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"18tzi73\" data-start=\"1606\" data-end=\"1663\">\ud83d\udc36 Take a proper study break with Dogs in the Library<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"k05xlk\" data-start=\"1664\" data-end=\"1716\">\ud83c\udf33 Head out on a forest walk or connect at Oasis<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"15pr1i0\" data-start=\"1717\" data-end=\"1773\">\ud83e\udd63 Grab some free soup or visit the Community Market<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1488\" data-end=\"1675\">There are also sessions on things like sleep, mental health, focus, and navigating support systems, so you can build habits that actually make uni life feel more manageable.
