Join the Queer Collective and Pride Network to celebrate Transgender Day of Visibility!
This is a day to recognise transgender identities and to reflect on the challenges faced. Transgender visibility is especially important now as we face regressions in social climate, it is important to stand against these regressions and fight for social progression and true equality.
We will be hosting a variety of events across Sturt, Bedford Park, and Festival Plaza! We welcome everyone, including community members or allies to come along and show your support and pride.
Come along for a free morning tea at the Sturt Cafeteria. Arts and crafts provided on the day at Sturt and Bedford Park. Markets from local LGBTQIA+ artists and organizations at Bedford Park. In collaboration with the Film Society we’ll be watching You Can’t Ask That: Transgender (2016) and Paris is Burning (1990).
