Tonsley Parking
If you’re based at, or visit Flinders at Tonsley, parking during peak times in car park 2 (P2) can be tricky. Have you considered these alternatives?
Train
The FLNDRS line trains run between the city and Tonsley every 20 minutes during peak, and every half hour during off peak times with only 20 minutes’ travel time to/from the city. If you’re travelling between our Bedford Park and Tonsley campuses, it’s only a two minute journey.
Bus
South Road bus stops (~400m walk to Flinders at Tonsley) are serviced by two Adelaide Metro bus service Go Zones. The travel time for bus services 719 and 720 from Old Reynella range from just 20 minutes to 40 minutes.
Bike
Tonsley has both a secure undercover bike park and outside bike racks.
Tonsley Link campus bus service
With a valid parking session, you can park at Bedford Park and use the free Tonsley Link campus bus service, with services every ~15 minutes from Registry, Sturt and car park 3.
Walking
For a 40-minute stroll from Bedford Park, follow the pedestrian path over South Road next to the train line and to the western Tonsley precinct entry. It’s great to get your steps up on a nice day!
Alternate Tonsley car park
Consider parking in the Tonsley public car park – P4 adjacent to the train line if P2 is full.
Please ensure you have an annual Tonsley vPermit (free) – via the Tonsley parking webpage. If you already have a Bedford Park vPermit, no further action is required. Or plan a trip to/from your house with Adelaide Metro.
