{"id":776,"date":"2021-03-22T14:13:40","date_gmt":"2021-03-22T03:43:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/student-news\/?p=776"},"modified":"2021-03-22T14:49:35","modified_gmt":"2021-03-22T04:19:35","slug":"to-compass-or-not-to-compass-its-your-vote","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/student-news\/2021\/03\/22\/to-compass-or-not-to-compass-its-your-vote\/","title":{"rendered":"To Compass or not to Compass\u2026 it\u2019s your vote"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From May this year, you will be able to login to the <a href=\"https:\/\/students.flinders.edu.au\/\">student website<\/a> to view personalised information such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>FAN and Student ID details<\/li>\n<li>Your timetable<\/li>\n<li>Course information<\/li>\n<li>Topic information<\/li>\n<li>Your GPA<\/li>\n<li>A hyperlink to your College page\/s<\/li>\n<li>Links to your topic sites in FLO<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We need to decide on a name for this personalised version \u2013 do we call it <strong>Compass<\/strong> or do we call it the <strong>Student Portal<\/strong>? Can you help?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why call it Compass?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This personalised tool (to be implemented for students to use in May) has been designed with students for students. When the Student View Group (SVG) was formed to consult on this initiative we asked them for a name to represent the project. They called it \u2018Project Compass\u2019 as we are providing guidance and direction to develop and transform the student experience at Flinders.<\/p>\n<p>Now what we want to know from you\u2026 once the login is launched should we continue to use the name Compass to refer to this personalised tool?
