This will involve cutting into the brickwork to create a new doorway\u00a0on the\u00a0south-eastern\u00a0side\u00a0of Level 1, and contractors will be present in and around the building.<\/p>\n<p>There will be\u00a0associated\u00a0noise, vibration and some dust, though this should be minimal as plastic walls will be placed within the affected parts of the building. Please consider\u00a0avoiding\u00a0the building\u00a0and surrounding area\u00a0while these works are happening.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Oval irrigation\u00a0works<\/strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>A new irrigation system is being installed on the upper and lower ovals at the bottom of the campus until mid-to-late October. Due to trenching across the ovals, there will be regular disturbance to the surfaces and undulation as the turf resettles.<\/p>\n<p>For safety reasons, please follow any directional signage placed at the sites\u00a0and take an alternative route around the ovals during this time.\u00a0Please note that the Pavilion\u00a0sitting between these ovals\u00a0is inaccessible.<\/p>\n<p>Flinders sporting clubs can give you further information about any alternative arrangements in place. Following these works, the cricket pitch will be restored ahead of the summer season.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tree pruning\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Maintenance tree\u00a0pruning\u00a0is happening this Saturday 18 September from 8am to 4pm on trees\u00a0near the following buildings:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Law &amp; Commerce<\/li>\n<li>Pendopo<\/li>\n<li>Social Sciences North<\/li>\n<li>Humanities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please follow any directional signage in place if you\u2019re moving through these areas during this time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Library Plaza canopy\u00a0walkway\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There will be works until 1 October to install an access walkway and safety mesh on the library canopy roof adjacent to the plaza.<\/p>\n<p>You may notice some noise from the\u00a0site\u00a0\u2013 we\u2019ve scheduled works\u00a0during the mid-semester teaching break to minimise the impact of this.
