{"id":854,"date":"2021-11-03T10:44:08","date_gmt":"2021-11-03T00:14:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/student-news\/?p=854"},"modified":"2021-11-03T10:44:08","modified_gmt":"2021-11-03T00:14:08","slug":"works-on-campus-3-november-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/student-news\/2021\/11\/03\/works-on-campus-3-november-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"Works on campus &#8211; 3 November 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Works on Sports Road footpath<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Staged works will be undertaken to the footpath on the northern side of Sports Road adjacent to car park 21 in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Vehicle and pedestrian access will be maintained through Sports Drive, however traffic is likely to be restricted to one lane on Sports Road, east of the roundabout. Traffic management will be in place. You will still be able to access car park 21, but access may be reduced to one lane at times.<\/p>\n<p>Please follow all signage and directions and, where possible, please consider using an alternative car park during this time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reception\u00a0upgrade\u00a0in Student\u00a0Centre\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re starting construction works for a new reception desk in the Health, Counselling and Disability Service (Student Centre Level 3) on\u00a0Monday 8 November.\u00a0This will involve removing\u00a0the existing reception desk and\u00a0installing\u00a0a new\u00a0accessible counter.\u00a0The new space will provide staff and students with a welcoming and secure entry point to the reception and Health Clinic.<\/p>\n<p>We expect minimal disruption within the Health Clinic as services will remain open. If you\u2019re visiting the area, you may notice some debris, dust or vibration during works, however this should be minor. We have planned for any noisy works to take place outside of core business hours, however there may be some intermittent noise.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Disability\u00a0space in Central Library<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We will start works on the new dedicated disability space in room 155 of the library from next Monday 8 November.
