Flinders University is fast approaching an exciting and major milestone – our 50th Anniversary.<\/em><\/p>\n

A year from today, on 25 March 2016, we will celebrate 50 years of Flinders and our reputation as one of Australia\u2019s leading universities \u2013 with the launch of the new Student Hub and Plaza.<\/p>\n

As we approach our 50th Anniversary in 2016, it is important that we recognise and celebrate past success, but we must also look forward by articulating our ambitions for Flinders University, building on our strengths for an exciting future.<\/p>\n

Flinders is a University with strong foundations; with the largest infrastructure investment project<\/a> in its history and increasing enrolments, we are South Australia\u2019s fastest growing University. We have much to look forward to. I am keen that our University community contributes to the development of our future vision, and works with us towards that aim.<\/p>\n

Over the coming months I will be consulting with the students and staff at Flinders, our alumni and key stakeholders on the development of the University\u2019s next strategic plan, to be released later this year.<\/p>\n

Celebrate with us<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our 50th Anniversary celebrations will involve a variety of interesting and engaging events and activities throughout 2016. Core to our activities is engaging with our alumni, and connecting with our students, staff, business, industry and the local community, to ensure Flinders\u2019 50th Anniversary is one to remember.<\/p>\n

We will do this in a number of ways. Planning is well underway and we invite you to contribute. Some of the ways you can be involved include:<\/p>\n

Pitch your project<\/strong><\/p>\n

At Flinders University, we recognise the important role our students have played in our achievements and success over the past 50 years. We are inviting students and staff to pitch ideas for projects to secure seed funding to initiate the project in 2016.<\/p>\n

Your story<\/strong><\/p>\n

Everyone has a story \u2013 we want to hear them!<\/p>\n

Flinders University is producing a 50th Anniversary publication that will mark this milestone in a way that celebrates our history, our successes and looks forward to a bright and exciting future.<\/p>\n
