“Library account” phishing emails

Have you received an email asking you to “validate” your Library Account? This email is attempting to steal Flinders user credentials and is not legitimate.

Don’t follow the links in the email, just delete it. The library will never ask you to login to verify your details or activate your account.

If you have already submitted information by clicking on a link or opening an attachment as a result of a phishing email, you must change your password immediately by visiting the Change your FAN password web page (https://fan.flinders.edu.au/fan/index.php?perform=changepass).

For further information please visit the University’s “what is phishing” webpage (http://www.flinders.edu.au/its/information-technology-services/about-us/ict-security/what-is-phishing.cfm) for tips on recognising and managing such emails.
