Caring Futures Institute researcher Dr Rachel Milte has been awarded runner up for the Deeble Scotton Prize for Policy Impact by the Australian Health Economics Society (AHES).
The prize aims to honour the major impacts on health policy in Australia of John Deeble and Dick Scotton, who were instrumental in developing the foundations for what would become Medicare.
The inaugural prize was awarded to Dr Milte, an AHES member, whose research has made significant impact to health and social wellbeing more broadly.
Dr Milte was recognised based on her work improving the inclusion of people with dementia in methods to develop and assess the quality of aged care services.
