Dementia care in rural China

Associate Professor Jing Wang will present a webinar on the topic of Dementia care in rural China, as part of the iSupport for Dementia project led by Caring Futures Institute researcher Professor Lily Xiao.

The event will be held via Zoom on Monday, 13 December.

Dr. Jing Wang is an Associate Professor in School of Nursing, Xi’an Jiaotong University. She also holds full academic status as Associate Professor, College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Flinders University. She was awarded the Cotutelle PhD from Central South University, China and Flinders University, Australia.

Her research interests include dementia care, caregiver support and geriatric nursing. She is the principal investigator for more than ten projects exploring the multidimensional aspects of caregiver burden and their expectations for dementia care services, dementia care management in the community and long-term care institutions, and dementia prevention and caregiver support in the rural setting. As a main investigator, she has participated in the translation and validation of the WHO iSupport program for dementia care. She has published more than 50 research articles in peer review journals and contributed to over 10 book chapters in nursing.
