The Journal of Studies in Higher Education has a special issue on ‘Engaging students in internationalisation’. This issue will address:

• What internationalisation means and how it is enacted?
• How a culturally diverse cohort of staff and students can learn from each other?
• What barriers are there to students’ engagement in internationalisation?

Contributions co-authored with students, alumni, professional staff or other stakeholders are welcomed for this issue.
