The theme of the annual conference, ‘Education for a Socially Just World’, affords the international community of educational researchers who attend the opportunity to demonstrate the relevance and value of our research to the world. We look forward to welcoming you to the 2019 annual AARE Conference, to be held in Brisbane at the Queensland University of Technology. The conference is a meeting place for researchers working in universities, schools, education systems and a broad range of educational institutions and settings. The Association’s wide range of Special Interest Groups gives a sense of our diverse educational interests and approaches to undertaking research. The conference aims to be a safe space within which both well established and early career academics can find a forum to provoke debate, stimulate discussion, offer new ideas and share their research findings.
