Horizon Award Ceremony and Celebration – 23 July 2019
On Tuesday 23 July the Horizon Award Team will be recognising and celebrating over 150 students who have shown exceptional dedication to their professional development and have achieved a Silver, Gold or Platinum Horizon Award.

The Horizon Professional Development Award is an opt-in program for all Flinders University students that quantifies and rewards extracurricular activities that complement their academic studies. The aim of the program is in assisting them to further develop their professional skills and increase their employability in a meaningful and practical way. Education Masterclass
Our Teaching and Education Masterclass will be on Thursday 25 July and will allow students to hear from and interact with Principals and Industry Leaders and recent graduates to develop their knowledge, skills and connections to best place them to get a job and succeed in the workplace.  The event features a panel of recent graduates sharing experiences of their transition from University to the workplace, as well as a panel of Principals and School Leaders speaking about the future of teaching and what they look for in graduates.  There will also be an interactive workshop where students will work alongside principals and graduates to work through real-life classroom case studies, followed by a series of mock interviews with the Principals and School Leaders.
