Joblink Summits

March is one of the biggest recruitment rounds for current students seeking graduate positions in 2021 – particularly in business, government, law, science, engineering, and students interested in state or federal government opportunities.

Our Joblink Summits are the opportunity for students to meet their future employers.

Flinders’ flagship career events aligned to CBGL, CSE, CHASS and CEPSW are underway with a diverse range of industry employers coming on campus to interact with our students and recent graduates from a variety of degree areas. The Joblink Summits allow potential employers to address all attendees in a conference-style format before hosting smaller information sessions with interested students.

The South Australian Government signed on as major sponsor across three Joblink Summits for the third consecutive year, providing attendees with an invaluable insight into the public service – being the state’s largest employer – as well as identifying career pathways across state government departments and agencies.

This year, to have these events more accessible to students with competing priorities and better align with the graduate recruitment cycle, two Joblink Summits were brought forward to be included in the O’Week program of events. This increases the offering of orientation activities for continuing students, and gives commencing students something to anticipate as they progress through their degree here at Flinders. Watch this short video on the 2019 Joblink Summits.

Staff are welcome to attend, and we strongly encourage those who interact with students in their penultimate and final years of study to promote these annual events. All students are welcome to attend any Joblink Summit as industry attending are recruiting across a variety of degree areas.

Our students in business and government, science, engineering and technology, attended Summits during Orientation and made valuable connections with hiring industries including: Westpac Group, Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, City of Mitcham, Environment Protection Authority, Department for Energy and Mining, Department for Innovation and Skills, Department of Defence, BHP, Nova Systems, BAE Systems, Chamonix, RAA, Woolworths Group, and many more!
