Introducing…

Each month we profile a member of CILT staff, giving a glimpse into what makes them tick. This month we profile Jamie Wiese, Course Quality and Development Officer.

  1. What do you like the most about working at Flinders?

It has to be said, but the people really are the best part of working at Flinders. I have worked at Flinders since 2011, and each team I have worked with has had such a welcoming and friendly vibe – it’s not long before colleagues start to feel like family. 😊

Also a special mention to the beautiful main campus – after being based in FMC for the last two years, I am now very much enjoying being back on the main campus. Each morning I appreciate the beautiful sunrise as I’m heading into work, and then of course the amazing view over the ocean at the end of the day when I’m going home.

  1. What’s one thing that can instantly make your day better?

A cup of tea (bonus points if I remember to drink it while it’s still hot!) and a chocolate or two 😊

  1. What is something you are looking forward to?

As I am here on a 12-month contract, I’m looking forward to gaining as much knowledge and experience as possible, as well as making some connections with some great people.

On a personal note, we have spent the better part of a year fixing up our house with a number of projects and renovations…our ‘last’ project is currently underway and I look forward to seeing the tail end of this process, and the opportunity to sit back and enjoy!
