The theme is SoTL Without Borders: Engaged Practices for Social Change, inspired by Doctors without Borders. The metaphor of the border is a powerful catalyst for the kind of dialogues we envision. Usually thought of as a marginal position, the border is a liminal space, and it can open up possibilities. The conference will explore bringing marginalised perspectives to the center, collaborations when we step out of our silos, using SoTL to break down ivory towers and engage students as partners.
