Visiting net.art preservationist, Dr Anne Laforet, will be offering a masterclass where she will discuss two of the works she has studied in detail, JODI’s “OSS/••••” (1998-2005) and Antoine Schmitt’s “still living H, I, J” (2006). As Laforet has written “[the work by JODI] demonstrates the difficulty of conserving works that have a number of overlapping layers of obsolescence (programs, readers, mode of access to the data)”.
Everyone is welcome to come and hear about what are fascinating case studies in digital art conservation.
