The Research Management Project team met with Elsevier via a web conference earlier this week to formally commence the project to deploy their Pure product in the Flinders environment. We now have access to Elsevier’s project launch documentation and to a development site for the Flinders Pure application. This will allow the project team to explore the Pure application and its deployment process prior to Elsevier joining the project team on-campus at Flinders on 9 and 10 October to begin to configure Pure for Flinders and to commence testing the import of Researcher data from HR and Publication data from ResearchMaster into Pure.
In other news, we’ve booked in the first meeting of the Research Management Project Governance Committee to be chaired by Rob Saint. This Committee, with representation from across the Finders Research community will meet on 12 November.
Contract negotiations with our selected vendor for the Research Ethics elements of the project are nearing completion, and we hope to be able to formally announce the successful vendor in the coming days.
