The Research Management project team attended an onsite 2 day Pure implementation workshop on 9th and 10th October facilitated by Elsevier. The workshop outlined the Pure product in more detail including the data model, workflows, publication harvesting, Pure Portal and reporting. Time was also spent in identifying key project implementation activities that need to begin in the next few weeks and discussing a timeline for the full implementation. The first key activities are getting an initial set of test Organisation, Person and Publication data from Research Master into the Pure DEV environment and making some key decisions around scope of data migration.
The first Research Management Project Steering Committee will be meeting on Friday 16th November chaired by Jodieann Dawe. A series of discussion papers are being developed by the project team on a number of key areas where the project requires a decision to be made by the Steering Committee. There will be a number of options presented (including a recommended option) for each key area.
Contract negotiations with selected vendor for Research Ethics have concluded. We are now expecting contract signing by Flinders and the vendor to be completed by early next week.
