From the latest report released by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), Adelaide is now recognised as the 3rd most liveable city in the world*. This also makes Adelaide the No.1 most livable city in Australia.

For Flinders, this No.1 status sits comfortably alongside our rating as the No. 1 SA university for student:teacher ratio*, the No. 1 SA university for full-time employment*, and the No. 1 SA university for overall experience*.

This isn’t surprising to our current students, who continue to benefit from the safety, affordability, and welcoming community in Adelaide.

“Adelaide is a city to be recommended to all international students coming to Australia. The people are friendly, and the cost of living is relatively low compared to other major cities in Australia. There a lot of sightseeing places especially the beaches and it is a multicultural community. I have met and made friends with people from different cultural backgrounds,” says Nigerian Master of Civil Engineering student, Olayinka Abioye. “The weather is favourable, and there is an easy connection from the University to many places in the city through bus and train.”

“I love the natural sights at Flinders! My education building is at the top of the hill. Walking by the lake to get to my classes; the green trees, grass, and sea views just brighten up my day and boost my mood,” says Chinese Eduction student, Zinan Wang.

We don’t mean to boast, but seriously – we have our resident koalas and kangaroos on campus. All in just a 20-minute train ride from Adelaide’s CBD.
