IELI teaching programs suspended due to COVID-19 impact

Study in Australia at Flinders Uni

The COVID-19 pandemic has had an enormous impact on our industry, with continued border closures preventing the ability of international students to arrive and study in Australia. As a result, IELI, our valued English language pathway provider has recently advised us of their decision to suspend teaching of programs as of Friday, 8 October 2021.

By taking this step, IELI aims to ensure the school will be well-positioned to reopen once international students can return to Australia.

We appreciate this news could be unsettling to the current cohort of international students with an offer to study at Flinders, and those studying an English program at IELI.

Flinders and IELI have already assisted students in making the best decision regarding the completion of their English studies, to enable them to progress smoothly into their course at Flinders.

It is essential to understand that English pathways into Flinders programs are still available through our other affiliated providers, including the ability for students to package with Flinders courses. We also look forward to providing you with updates to our pathway programs soon.

As always, we appreciate your ongoing support of Flinders, and please don’t hesitate to contact the Flinders team if you would like to discuss further.
