Flinders University to present Documentary Award at Adelaide Film Festival

The Adelaide Film Festival has announced Flinders University as the sponsor of its first ever Documentary Award.

Finalists will compete for a $10,000 cash prize, sponsored by Flinders University, to be judged by the Festival’s Documentary Jury, who will be announced in the coming months.

Local and international documentary makers still have a chance to become finalists, with applications to enter the Adelaide Film Festival closing on June 21.

“Documentary films are among the most immediate and insightful methods of communicating ideas and issues, and of sharing the lives and realities of others,” said Ms Diané Ranck, Director of the Marketing and Communications Office at Flinders.

“This award plays an important role by supporting and encouraging Australia’s up‐and‐coming documentary‐makers. It is a natural extension of Flinders’ contribution to the industry made through our programs of education and training in screen and media.” Full details.
