Adelaide Fringe Festival

Aged 18-30?  Want cheap tickets and great deals all year?  Fringe Benefits is a young audience development program that aims to engage more young people in arts and culture by offering discounted tickets and incentives year-round.

Flinders is the major partner of Fringe Benefits, the Fringe Adelaide year-round program, enabling the University to connect with prospective and current students, and recent graduates in a meaningful way.  Other supporters include Arts SA, Coopers and Rip It Up Publishing.

Anyone aged 18-30 is encouraged to join Fringe Benefits to enjoy a passport to the cheapest tickets and hottest deals in Adelaide throughout the year.  It’s free to become a member!  Click here to join.

From comedy and theatre to music, film and fashion, Fringe Benefits’ 20,000 members get exclusive discounts to gigs, shows and venues every day of the year – not just during Adelaide Fringe.

The University’s support of the Adelaide Fringe and Fringe Benefits directly assists students through internship programs and reviewer positions.  These initiatives provide talented students a rare opportunity to work with arts professionals, media and promoters.

A new feature of Flinders’ relationship with the Fringe this year will be the Flinders University ‘Behind the Scenes’ Award.  The Award will be presented to the best ‘back-stage’ talent at this year’s Fringe and will involve those working in set design, costume design, digital/multimedia and sound and lighting.  The Award shines a spotlight on extremely talented people responsible for event production and presentation.

Fringe Club

During the Adelaide Fringe Festival, one of the hottest spots in Adelaide is the Fringe Club in Rymill Park.  The Club is a home away from home for thousands of artists and VIPs.  The pop up venue provides a place to meet, eat, drink and dance the night away while enjoying free entertainment from Fringe artists.

We are giving away six Fringe Club double passes to Flinders alumni!

To be in the running to receive these free passes, simply email Anna (anna.delrio@flinders.edu.au) using the subject line ‘Fringe Club giveaway’. Enter before 9am on Monday 24 February and include your phone number so we can get back to the lucky winners.  A random draw will be conducted in the week beginning 24 February.
