I had surgery recently, and the nurses involved in my care were amazing.
The thing is, I am hearing impaired and wear hearing aids. One of the nurses, I can’t remember her name, but she asked me if I was comfortable wearing them while in surgery, (I removed them) and she asked me questions.
It felt reassuring that my needs were looked after, and allowed me to make the decisions I wanted.
It was memorable the kindness the nurse showed me, and made sure that I was comfortable, and taking the time to communicate with me.
