As a nurse and graduate of the Flinders University College of Nursing and Health Sciences, I understand the importance of high quality care delivery. When I found myself on the other side as an oncology patient, I  couldn’t fault the level of care provision from the Medical Oncology/Day Unit nursing team at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. Each member of the team went beyond their duties to ensure I felt comfortable, supported and informed of my choices during a time when an individual is vulnerable and scared. The team included Flinders University graduates who displayed strong clinical knowledge combined with warmth, and a genuine desire to achieve the best outcomes for their patients. I can’t thank the nursing team enough for the way they made me feel. The most difficult time in my life became more bearable because of their impact. Thank you.
