Flinders University is mourning the loss of four members of the University community, each leaving a lasting legacy in their respective fields. Read below the impact each has had on our history over the years.
Dr Barry Boettcher AM – esteemed academic and Flinders University Football Club legend
Dr Boettcher, called by all at Flinders ‘The Doc’, was an integral part of the formation of Flinders University Football Club. Professionally, Dr Boettcher was an Emeritus Professor of Biological Sciences, who went on to become an expert witness in many legal cases. He is survived by his wife, Moira, sons Karl, Todd and Craig, daughter Kristine, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Read more

Flinders University Drama Centre staff and alumni, along with the South Australian acting and singing communities, are mourning the death of legendary voice teacher Helen Tiller.
