A great evening was had on Wednesday 25 March at our City Campus, where we welcomed Flinders Law alumni and industry professionals for our Law CPD workshop. Our panel, featuring Flinders graduate Evyenia Walton (BA ’03, LLB/LP ’04) from Lynch Meyer Lawyers and Allie Umoff from LK Law, sparked a great discussion on AI and the future of legal ethics, exploring real-world applications, ethical boundaries, and how legal professionals can stay ahead in an ever-evolving digital landscape.
Following the workshop, guests stayed for drinks and refreshments, with the opportunity to continue conversations and ask the panel further questions.
A huge thank you to Associate Professor Kris Wilson for facilitating the discussion, he did a fabulous job!
For those interested, CPD relates to Continuing Professional Development. Lawyers need 10 CPD points per CPD year (1 April – 31 March) to maintain their practicing certificate, ensuring they stay current with evolving laws, ethical standards, and legal procedures. Attendees of last nights workshop received one CPD point, and Flinders is proud to support the ongoing growth and development of our graduates throughout their careers.
