Sunrise yoga session marks World Cancer Day

Despite the unseasonably chilly February weather, more than 40 Flinders staff, clinicians, researchers, patients and members of the Flinders community joined a sunrise yoga session next to the Flinders Centre for Innovation in Cancer (FCIC) in recognition of World Cancer Day (February 4).
The class was led by Dr Rahul Solanki, who is also a qualified yoga instructor. Flinders Medical Centre Oncologist Professor Bogda Koczwara AM said World Cancer Day activities provided an opportunity to come together and raise awareness.
“It’s one time of the year where we literally stand up with our patients for a very important cause – fighting cancer…and to show the world that we mean business when it comes to cancer.”
