South Australian Daniher’s Drive participants visit the MND&NR Ian Davis Lab

On Monday, 29 September, South Australian participants in the Daniher’s Drive visited the MND&NR Ian Davis Laboratory in the Health and Medical Research Building (HMRB) to learn more about the groundbreaking research being undertaken at Flinders University.

The Daniher’s Drive is a community fundraising event that raises vital money to support FightMND’s mission to find effective treatments and ultimately a cure for motor neurone disease (MND). This year’s drive will run from 9–11 October 2025, taking participants through regional Victoria in support of the cause.

The visit provided a chance for local participants to see first-hand how funds raised through FightMND are helping researchers push the boundaries of MND science, with the Ian Davis Lab contributing to national and international progress in the field.

FightMND continues to rely on the generosity of the community to advance research and provide hope to those living with MND. If you’d like to show your support, donations can be made via the Team Microbiology Daniher’s Drive fundraising page.
