The Guardian: the unique loneliness of COVID-19 lockdown when you live alone.

 

Current restrictions, such as Stage 4 lockdowns in response to the second-wave of COVID-19 outbreak in Melbourne, has highlighted the issue of increased mental health issues experienced by people who live by themselves.

In the article, Professor Mike Kyrios, Director of the Órama Institute, suggested the idea of “bubble systems”, where people can nominate visitors, would be a brilliant idea and will help lessen the impact that isolation is having on the mental health of the general public.
