Campus works are often scheduled in university breaks to minimise disruption, and several projects are scheduled for the coming mid-semester break.
Sturt gym
Sturt Gym will be closed throughout the mid-semester break (Monday 30 September to Thursday 3 October 2019) for refurbishment of the staircase.
As these works will create noise and dust, teaching bookings have been relocated and the basketball court, labs, teaching spaces and toilets will be closed.
Car park 8
Car park 8 will be temporarily closed from 21 September until 6 October 2019 to enable works on the new Glasshouse in the College of Science and Engineering.
Please use other car parks during this time. Car parks 7 and 9 are the closest, or use the parking signage around campus to locate alternative available parks.
Tonsley electrical work
There will be no access to the Tonsley building On Sunday 29 September between 7am to 5pm as electrical work is undertaken. While the building will be closed, the Flinders University pods will not be affected.
Staff in the area are asked to please ensure all electrical equipment and computers are shut down prior to this work.
Social Sciences North edible garden
The garden beds in the courtyard of Social Sciences North have been cleared as part of the University’s sustainability projects, ready for exciting developments over the coming months commencing with additional citrus trees and herbs.
Matthew Flinders Foyer Canopy and Flinders Laneway
Rolling pedestrian diversions will take place in the Breezeway between Flinders Laneway and the Library from 23 September through to 4 October, as work is undertaken in the Matthew Flinders canopy and the Flinders Laneway refresh continues.
Intermittent low level noise can be expected in the area, and the Breezeway toilets will be temporarily closed at various times. Please follow all signage in place during this time. Access assistance remains available at any time by calling security on 8201 2880.
