Cleaning of the tunnel between the Health Sciences complex and Flinders Medical Centre, together with current Optus works, will involve some minor disruptions on campus which are primarily scheduled for non-peak times over coming weekends.

Health Sciences Temporary tunnel closure

The tunnel under the road from the Health Sciences Lecture Theatre Complex to Flinders Medical Centre will be temporarily unavailable on Saturday 29 February from 6am until approximately 12 noon, while pressure cleaning takes place.

Traffic and parking –  Optus infrastructure 

Optus, Flinders University’s telco provider, is installing new telecommunications infrastructure on the roadside embankment along Sturt Road near car park 14, from 26 February until late March 2020.

During this time four car parks near Sturt Road will be temporarily unavailable. On weekdays there will be minor works near the northern end of car park 14. Please slow down and use extra care, particularly when workers are on site.

On weekends there will be temporary traffic diversions in this car park – please follow all signage or consider using car park 13 instead.

Staff patience is appreciated while the tunnel is cleaned and Optus works to improve mobile phone coverage and connectivity across campus and Flinders’ surrounding community.
