Campus works

Scheduled works around the University include roofing at main campus, a new bus shelter at Sturt and replacement lights for the Sturt gym.

Building roof works

As part of the 2020 capital renewals program, the University is undertaking essential safety works across several building rooves around main campus.

These works have been scheduled for the Sir Eric Neal Engineering building commencing on Tuesday 3 November, and are expected to be completed by Tuesday 17 November 2020.

During this time noise will be heard from people on the roof, and intermittent noise associated with construction.

Temporary relocation of the Sturt Loop Bus

A new loop bus shelter is being constructed in car park 13.

There will be a temporary relocation of the loop bus stop to bus stop 26 A (western side of University Drive) from Wednesday 28 October.

Pedestrian signage and notification is in place to help guide people to the temporary stop. For any access assistance, please contact Security on 8201 2880 (on the back of staff and student ID cards).

The new shelter will provide weather protection, and boasts solar panels, seating and phone charging facilities.

There will be intermittent noise associated with these works and minor restrictions for both cars and pedestrians within the area.  Please take additional care in this area while works are being undertaken and follow any directional signage in place once works commence.

Sturt gym

On Friday 30 October from 7am, the lights in the main Sturt Gym Hall will be replaced with new, high-efficiency LED fittings. This will provide a better, more even and significantly more energy efficient lighting solution for this space. For safety, there will be no access to the gym while these works occur.
