Campus updates

Increased building activity will be occurring across Flinders University’s Bedford Park campus in the coming weeks as we work to enhance and maintain the campus.

Registry Lane resurfacing

Recent poor weather conditions have delayed resurfacing of the loading dock area off Registry Lane (at the back of the Hub), but we anticipate this will now go ahead on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 August (depending on the weather). There will be no access to the loading dock during this time. Please ensure any deliveries are scheduled outside these dates.

Please note that during this time all bus services for Bus Stop A will be redirected to Bus Stop B (opposite car park 6). Pedestrians will also be redirected via alternative paths to avoid the works area. Signage will be in place to inform bus users and pedestrians of these temporary changes. Please take additional care in this area and obey all directional signage and traffic management instructions.

Fire detector unit upgrades

Several ceiling-mounted fire detectors will be replaced this week as part of an upgrade project in the Central Library and Humanities buildings. This will improve the performance and capability of our fire detection system. Works will take place from Tuesday 10 August to Friday 13 August, with each replacement only taking a few minutes. Please take care when moving through the areas where contractors are working.

Following this, we will be performing further works to change sensors in student hub (including the food court) and library areas. We will keep you advised once dates for this work is confirmed.
